D.I.Y. Floral Headband

Happy Halloween!
Hope everyone is having fun dressing up and going to Halloween parties.
This Halloween I was so stumped about what to be. Then after looking through my closet and finding a pair of floral leggings, I decided to be a flower child/hippie.
I made a floral headband that was so easy to make and cut a black tee shirt.

Here is what you need to make the headband:

Fake Flowers
(I bought these at the craft store)

Plain Headband
(Must be thin so it won't be seen)

Glue Gun
(Make sure you have glue before hand. I forgot!)

And Scissors

So first step is to cut a few flowers off the stems. Start with a few so you don't end up with extra flowers.

Now all you have to do is arrange your flowers on the headband and glue. Here is what my finished headband looked like.

I hope you all have a fun Halloween. I also want to know what all of you are being, so comment below (:

Lastly, I want to say for everyone living on the eastcoast to be safe. For those of you who don't know there is currently a Hurricane named Sandy, which is suppose to be one of the worst we have had in a while. Living in New Jersey, I am currently in the middle of the storm right now. So please be safe!

Favorite Fashion (TV) Shows!

Hey everyone!
Hope you are all enjoying this cool fall weather, I know my sweaters are feeling the love.

So today I wanted to talk about some of my favorite fashion related TV shows. Not to get mixed up with fashion shows.

So one of my favorite all time TV shows has to be Sex and the City. Carrie Bradshaw is one of my style icons and one of the people I look up too. (I know she is a fictional character but come on, I know all of you would die to be her).
When I graduate high school, I want to go to college in NYC and live a Carrie Bradshaw lifestyle with my best friends.

My latest obsession is Gossip Girl. I know I may be late because they are on the final season but I have been watching night and day starting from season 1. I love Serena and Blair and how they are willing to do anything for each other, even though they have their rough patches.

Lastly, one of my last favorite shows isn't a scripted show. Fashion Police has to be one of the best weekly talk shows that are only about fashion. I am proud to say I am a Joan Ranger (laugh all you want). For those of you who have never seen the show, it is a weekly show on E! with Joan Rivers as the host with Kelly Osbourne, Giuliana Rancic, and George Kotsiopoulos as the co-hosts. Every week they discuss celebrity fashion do's and dont's with segments like "Bitch Stole my Look", "Starlet or Streetwalker", and "Gotta have it!, Make it Stop!".

So now that you know all of my favorite fashion inspired TV shows, I want to know what are yours.

Casual Peplum Look

Hey everyone! Hope you are all having a good week.

So, today I wanted to share a casual peplum look with you all. I know some people who are scared to try the trend because they feel it is either too daring for them or will make them look too dressed up.

So here is a look that is very casual while still sporting the peplum.

This look pairs a cute peplum tank with skinny jeans and a pair of oxford flats. An over sized bag and understated jewelry keep this look easy to achieve.

I want to know who will be sporting a peplum this season, either totally casual or glammed up for an event.

Young Republic

Recently I discovered an amazing website called Young Republic. This international website, that just re-launched on August 27th of this year, is for upcoming designers to sell their products.

“The beauty of Young Republic is that it is so youthful and current. It is a fantastic tool for putting designers in touch with their target market and giving each label an opportunity to be seen,” states Lauren Brooks, the Australian designer behind Baumbach.

I am so excited to start exploring all this site has to offer. It is a great online resource to find one of a kind things like jewelry and clothes.

“People love going to the weekend markets because they can buy unique one-of-a-kind items you won't find with the big brands,” says Young Republic co-founder Marianne Sea, “We wanted to bring that exciting experience online”.

Here are some amazing products sold on the website.

Moons Of Apollo by Eight Teen Years

CHRISTI JAY by Leather Braided Buffalo Necklace

If you check out the website or even buy anything, comment below and let me know. I would love to hear about your experience with them.

Trend: Mustard

Last night on the Red Carpet at the Emmy's, a big trend was mustard. I am loving this trend. The darker yellow color is the perfect way to start the Autumn and award season.

Here are some celebrities who rocked the trend last night.

New Shoes!

Hey everyone! I know I have been MIA with posts lately, but I have a good excuse. I've been working alot to make some extra shopping money and school is alreading starting to get tough this year.

So I am so excited! For those of you who have been reading my blog, you know that I have a small (BIG) obsession with Jeffrey Campbell. Well... I was recently shopping and a pair of shoes caught my eye. Lita-look-a-likes! Even better, hey were only $35! So of course I bought them.

Here are some pictures of my new shoes...

And here are some pictures of Jeffrey Campbell Litas...

So some of the differences between mine and the real Litas are the heel. The heel of the authentic Lita is made of wood while mine is covered with velvet. Another difference is the leather. Mine of course is made of pleather.

But I am very happy with my purchase. I have been wanting these for a very long time now and haven't been able to save the money up for the real ones.

I'm going to be wearing these this weekend to a party and will le you know how everything turns out.

So goodbye for now. Let me know your thoughts!

Rachel Zoe Spring 2013

After spamming Style.com for Fashion Week runway pics like every other fashion obsessed girl, I have seen so many amazing collections. One of my favorites is stylist turned designer, Rachel Zoe. Here are some of my favorite looks.

Rachel Zoe knows how to work a black and white combo.

Loving this white gown and obsessed with the black fanny pack.

This gold seqin mini is fabulous! And the green bag, I'm in love.

I love this top & need it in my closet.

These pin strip pants paired with the jewel tone green jacket was a great pair down the runway.

The show wouldn't be RZ without the prints.

Gold seqin gown is AMAZING!

In love with this boho chic maxi skirt and turban!

This print pant suit just wraps up the whole show.

And of course the designer herself looked stunning rocking the bangs!

Your thoughts?

XOXO Black & Gold

Hello my loves! Hope you are all having a good week :)
So today I just wanted to make a post about my all time favorite color combo. Black and Gold. I love this polka dot dress because it's fun and can be dressed up when you need something a little special. The chunky chain necklace and earring really complete the outfit. I also really love the qoute Blake Lively says.

What's your favorite color combo?

Electric Holiday

What happens when two of my favorite things, fashion and Disney, come together? A collaboration between Barneys and The Walt Disney Company.

As of min-November, Barneys New York shop windows will display an Electric Holiday centerpiece. The window will include an exclusive moving art short created by Disney artists, showcase a three-dimensional electric light show, and have Oscar®-winning composer Michael Giacchino create an original score of playful music to bring everything to life. The windows will be unveiled on November 14th.

Barneys New York has created a range of exclusive, limited-edition holiday gift items, which will be available for a limited time only at Chelsea Passage on the ninth floor in Barneys' Madison Avenue location in New York, at select Barneys New York locations nationwide and Barneys.com. The products range from Disney's highly collectible Vinylmation figures designed by Paul Smith and Diane von Furstenberg, Mickey Mouse ears designed by Rag & Bone and L'Wren Scott, and smaller items such as holiday ornaments, edible sweets, toys for children, etc.

But not everyone is happy with the collaboration. How could anybody be upset with this? Well charcters like Minnie Mouse and Daisy Duck have had their cartoon figures altered with to resemble models like Karlie Kloss. Minnie will be wearing a ruffled Lanvin dress in the holiday window while her pal Daisy wears a racy lace Dolce & Gabbana, and Goofy wearing a military-inspired look by Balmain.

Womens Wear Daily reported on this issue today about how people are really upset about Minnie's new look after reporting about the collaboration last week.

I myself am not sure how to feel about this whole situation. It is a dream come true for Disney to play a part in the fashion world. But changing Minnies iconic figure?

What do you think about this collaboration? What about Minnies new look?
Can't wait to hear what you have to say.

First day of School Outfit

Hey everybody! I know that I have been MIA the last couple of days, but as I said I was in North Carolina for my Aunt's birthday. I think I may have picked up a little southern accent.
So today was my first day of school and I was most excited about wearing my new clothes. Unfortunately I had a little fashion dilemma and needed to change my outfit last night but it was still adorable.
I decided to wear a Rachel by Rachel Roy dress from Macy's. It wasn't the one pictured below but very similar. Mine was short sleeves and a different floral print. My shoes were a pair of silver rope knot sandals. To pull the look together I wore a wooden cuff.
I was really happy with my outfit today and still deciding what I'm wearing tomorrow!
Any suggestions?
First day of School Outfit

For all of you who started/starts school this week, what are/did you wear? How was your first day? Did you met any cool or interesting people? I would love to hear about it!
